Gila’s Challah

Naomi Be’eri

 

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. yeast

3/4 cup lukewarm water

1 tbsp sugar

3 cups flour

2 eggs (or 1 whole + 2 egg whites/4 tbsp egg white)

2 tbsp oil

3 tbsp honey

 

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients and let dough sit for 1-1.5 hours, than cut it into 6 pieces, and braid.

  2. Let it sit for another 20-30 minutes, brush it with an egg, put seeds on it and bake on 350 until brown.
